Merrick's restaurant at Cottrell Park is built in the style of a prestigious
Parkland Estate and provides a friendly and comfortable atmosphere in
which to relax, after a hard days’ work or play! The 145-cover
restaurant
is framed in traditional brick with exposed wooden beams, pillars and
wood floor creating a distinct cottage feel. Which is fitting, really,
because from the kitchen comes good quality, home-cooked food –
anything from local Pork and Leek sausages served with creamy mash and
onion gravy to char-grilled 8oz Rump Steak served with tomatoes,
mushrooms, mixed leaves and choice of potato. Merrick's serves
traditional British cuisine using local and free-range produce. Ideal
for a lunch stop, family gathering or business meals alike, the
friendly staff will make you very welcome. |

We are delighted to
introduce our newly designed Menu which was constructed using the
services of a well renowned food consultant from The Vale of
Glamorgan. All Main Course
items on the menu are £5.00 Monday - Saturday.
On Sundays our Roasts are still available with a choice of either Beef
with Yorkshire Pudding, Roast Turkey served with Cranberry sauce and
Roast Chicken. Sunday Roasts are £5.95 and are served from 12
Noon until 7.30pm. After 4pm the price reduces to £4.95!

There are several rooms to choose from, each with their own individual
character. The Clarendon Suite has been newly refurbished and is now
available for parties, gatherings and meetings and conferences.
The maximum capacity of this suite is 150*.
Tyler's Cabin provides a rustic and cosy environment with wooden
beams, fireplace and flag stoned floor. This room is ideal for
sit down meals or evening parties and again can cater for up to 150*
people. Leading off this room is
Tyler's sun lounge which can be used in conjunction with Tyler's Cabin
or independently. Tyler's sun lounge can cater for private sit
down meals of up to 32 people and proves to be very popular as a
conference and meeting room. This room provides excellent views
over the Button Gwinnett course and can
be set up in various styles and can seat up to 50 delegates in Theatre
Style. It also boasts all the latest Equipment including a 50
inch flat screen TV which can be linked to a Laptop, DVD/Video and
Music System.
